Barito Kuala (Batola) District was considered the fastest in Indonesia in the distribution of special allocation fund (DAK) for physics and was warded the best national for district/city level.
Regent Hj Noormiliyani AS, acompanied by Batola Regional Secretary H Zulkipli Yadi Noor, received the Ministry of Finance's Directorate General of Treasury award which was handed over by the Head of the South Kalimantan Office of Treasury Directorate (DjPb) Sulaimansyah, accompanied by Head of KPPN (the State Treasury Service Office) Banjarmasin Tri Ananto Putro here, Monday (April 11, 2022).
“The Ministry of Finance's Directorate General of Treasury in its decree No: 14/PB.2/2022 has declared Barito Kuala District as the fastest in 2021,” said Sulaimansyah.
He hopes the award not to be considered ceremonial, but truely proved to the national level Barito Kuala's commitment to the accelerated development was realized by accelerating the distribution of DAK.
“Hopefully this will enhance an even better enthusiasm and an example for other regions to also accelerate DAK distribution, which is an important thing,” he said.
He expounded that if DAK is distributed faster, then people will feel the benefits faster --even in the same year. On the contrary, if it is slow till the work is completed by the end of the year, then the benefits of the development will be felt in the following year.
The development targets set for the current year will not be achieved, because the work will only be competed by the end of the fiscal year.
“This is what we use as benchmarks for other regions that Barito Kuala can be faster, why others not,” he pointed out.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, he said, strongly encouraged the acceleration of state budget (APBN) and regional budget (APBD), because one of the economic growths come from the government spending.
Regent Hj Noormiliyani AS welcomed and was grateful for the award from the Ministry's Director General of Treasury through the South Kalimantan Office of Treasury Directorate.
“This award is the most beautiful gift for me, because on November 4, I and Deputy Regent H Rahmadian Noor will end our term of office,” she said.
Noormiliyani said that this sucess was the result of good cooperation of all parties, especially SKPD that received the physical DAK and Inspectorate as a reviewer for the government's internal supervisory apparatus (APIP), even though in the pandemic situation stil carrying out their duties.
“I hope this achievement can be our work spirirt to work fast and responsive while still paying attention to aspect of accountability and transparency. Thus the use of budget can be accounted for in accordance with applicable law and regulation," she hoped.
