Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Narcotics Unit Police managed to secure crystal methamphetamine sent from Majene, West Sulawesi.
Kotabaru district police chief AKP H Suhasto accompanied by the head of the drug unit AKP Ubaldus Delo here on Tuesday said the sabu-sabu was secured from Ad (32), a resident of Sulawesi.
"He was secured when going for transaction at the area of Simpang Empat Serangkai, Kotabaru," he said.
The arrest of the perpetrator originated from public information that there would be a crystal meth transaction at Empat Serangkai.
Narcotics police unit directly went to the location of the suspected place would be a transaction.
Police immediately arrested the suspects and from him police secured the evidence of sabu-sabu weighing 4.87 grams.
"The suspect claimed to work as ship crew, and the ship is under routine maintenance," he said.
He was named as suspect and the owner of sabu-sabu and will be charged under Article 112 Paragraph 2 of Law No. 35 Year 2009 on Narcotics with the threat of five years imprisonment and a fine of Rp800 million.
