Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Tabalong Government awarded with Family Hope Program (PKH) Award 2015 by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani here on Thursday said that the award is given as a form of appreciation for the support of local government in this program.
"We have allocated the district budget to support the Family Hope Program in three sub-districts then the Ministry of Social Affairs awarded us with PKH Award," said Anang.
Family Hope Program as a new program in Tabalong was conducted with funding from the state budget given to seven sub-districts, namely Pugaan, Banua Lawas, Kelua, Tanta, Tanjung, Jaro and Muara Uya.
Then three additional sub-districts namely Murung Pudak, Bintang Ara and Haruai funded through the district budget.
PKH participants must conduct examinations for pregnant women, administration of nutrition and immunization for children under five and the obligation to send children to primary and secondary schools.
Through the Family Hope Program is expected to reduce the burden of household expenditures given the number of poor families in Tabalong still quite a lot.
