The Regent of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, HM Zairulah Azhar eyes to build shelters for orphans in all districts and cities in the province.

Zairullah, who is also a chairman of Darul Azhar Bersujud Foundation, here on Sunday said the target is that every district and citya to have an orphanage or what he called as orphans palace.

The plan to build palaces for orphans aims to provide guaranteed shelter and free education for them.

"We have an example of orphanage palace that is in Batulicin. The orphans who live here have received education up to university level," he pointed out.

He expounded that in addition to the plan to build orphanage throughout the province, in the near future the management of Darul Azhar Bersujud will bring educators from outside Tanah Bumbu as educators to Al-Quran memorizing.

He said that now many universities in Indonesia providefree scholarship for hafizh (Al-Qur’an memorizers) on the grounds that according to research results, they who memorize the Al-Quran must be intelligent in their brains.

"Hopefully ther will be no obstacles in the discourse on building palaces of orhans, which is now in assessment stage," said Zairullah.
