South Kalimantan Govenor Sahbirin Noor said that the Human Development Index (IPM) in the province continues to make progress and is now reaching 71.28 or increased by 2.23 point compared to the previous score of 69.05 in 2016.
According to the governor, the rise of HDI is one of the important indications in the development, because it considers the capacity of human resources of South Kalimantan in various fields, either education, health, and others.
He was speakiing as he described the implementation of the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) to the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry (KemenPAN-RB) virtually on Thursday (February 17, 2022) from Command Center of the provincial administration.

These efforts, he pointed out, will continue to be improved through the implementation of the Vision of South Kalimantan Foward 2021-2026.
South Kalimantan, he stated, has marked an economic growth of 5.29 percent during the pandemic, although it previously had experienced a contraction.
It also can be seen, he pointed out, from the thriving economy in the markets and other places, as well as the enthusiasm of the people in meeting the needs of food, clothing, and housing.
