As the new cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 was reported to continue to increase, the State Intelligence Agency for South Kalimantan Region (BINDA) moves quickly to prevent people from being infectred by intensifying administration of second dose COVID-19 vaccine in North Hulu Sungai (HSU).
"In collaboration with Amuntai Selatan Puskesmas (health center) we make effort to complete the second dose vaccination, because a lot of residents have not received it yet," said Head of BINDA Brig. Gen. Dr. Heri Armanto Sutikno through Chief of BINDA for HSU Purnomo in Amuntai, Wednesday (January 12, 2022).
Purnomo said people who have vaccinated with the second dose, at least it would reduce the impact of Omicron if exposed.
Head of Amuntai Selatan Pukesmas Muhammad Yamani asked village heads, as well as RT (neighborhood unit) chiefs to invite residents to come to the vaccination centers for the second dose vaccine sooner.
"Especially for today vaccination with Pfizer vaccine, we are targeting 300 residents from Jumba Village and Kota Raja Village to be given the second dose," he said.

Head of Kota Raja Village Ahmad Sayuti thanked the Health Office, especially Puskesmas Amuntai Selantan, and BINDA for facilitating the vaccination.
However, Sayuti conveyed his residents aspiration warganya that the vaccination to be held in their respective village to make it closer as it was in the end of 2021.
"Many residents want the vaccination in their village. We are ready to provide doorprizes and consumption if it is carried out in the village," said Sayuti
He explained that from the Village Fund a minimum of eight percent was allocated for handling COVID-19 according to he budget refocusing policy.
