The limited face-to-face learning (PTM) in Jakarta  will start on Monday  with some policies including considering the percentage of vaccinated educators, learning duration, and anticipation through tracing of active cases.

Based on the Level 1 public activities restrictions (PPKM), the limited face-to-face learning can be applied if the second dose vaccination  coverage for education workers has crossed 80 percent. Also, the policy is followed by a students vaccination program that is continuously held in cities and districts.

"Limited PTM is conducted every day. The number of students can be 100 percent of the classroom and the learning duration is up to six hours per day. Health protocols should be a major concern for all school residents,"  educational official   Nahdiana said here on Sunday.

She explained students who are not able to join PTM because of their parents' considerations, can give a statement to the school. They can still obtain an online learning service and rights of assessment.

"It is expected that parents and the community can support the implementation of limited face-to-face learning in accordance with existing procedures," she pointed out.

She added, the Education Office collaborates with the Health Office in carrying out the active case finding or ACF, a strategy to trace active cases in an effort to prevent COVID-19 transmission in schools.

In case of school residents indicated to be exposed to COVID-19, the related education unit will temporarily suspend the limited PTM for the group suspected of contracting the virus for five days, and learning activities will be carried out online.

Then, the COVID-19 Task Force in schools will coordinate with the COVID-19 Village Task Force and the nearest health facility to conduct disinfectant spraying and tracing to close contacts.
