The City Government of Banjarbaru received the award from South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor as the second-best in the performance of distributing physical special allocation fund (DAK) in South Kalimantan.

The award was handed over by the Governor to the Banjarbaru Regional Secretary Said Abdullah after offline submission of the Development Budget Allocation List (DIPA) and funds transfer to regions and village funds (TKDD) for the 2022 fiscal year.

The Governor said that all regional heads and heads of SKPD (government working units) should immediately take steps to optimize budget absorption in accordance with the planned activities.

"In addition to work quickly and responsively, aspects of accountability and transparency remain to be prioritized in the use of the budget and there must be accountability according to applicable regulations," the Governor reminded.

The provincial government, he said, appreciated the achievement in the management and implementation (of the DAK) and named the Barito Kuala District as the first best, followed by Banjarbaru and Tanah Laut.
