Minister of Home Affairs has decided that Banjarmasin City is at level 2 of the enforcement of public activity restriction (PPKM), Head of Health Agency Machli Riyadi said.
"Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) Banjarmasin is already at level 2, exactly what we calculated," he said here, Tuesday.
Based on the new Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) No. 54 of 2021, he said, the status of the city was stated at the level 2 PPKM as of October 18, 2021.
The central government has set Banjarmasin at level 4 of PPKM from 26 Juli and extended it several times. Until October 12, the level lowered to 3, and on October 18 it was lowered again to level 2.
"Of course we are grateful for this achievement. This is all our hard work," he said.

He gave an overview of COVID-19 cases in the city that had dramatically decreased with a recovery rate of 97 percent. There are almost no COVID-19 patients at the referral hospitals in this capital of South Kalimantan Province.
Meanwhile, said Machli Riyadi, the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination continues to be intensified, so as quickly reach the target of 515,000 city residents.
"We should be grateful that everything went smoothly thanks to our joint hard work and full support from TNI and Polri," he said.
He also appreciated the high public awareness to participate in the vaccination program with a record of up to 5,000 people being vaccinated in a day.
