The Islamic school of Quran Memorizing and Quran Science Darussalam (Madrasah Darussalam Tahfiz dan Ilmu Alquran) Martapura, Banjar District, South Kalimantan, has graduated more than 600 Quran memorizers, said the caregiver of the school.

"The presence of the Governor is a pride for us. Hopefully, it provides enthusiasm and motivation for santri (students) to keep on studying, gain knowledge, to become the pride of parents and ummah," said KH Muhammad Wildan Salman.
The Governor said he was grateful that the generation of Quran memorizers in the region has increased again with the graduation of tahfiz Al-Quran Darussalam.
He said memorizing the Quran has many benefits in life, especially growing spiritual intelligence, peace of mind, and closeness to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.
He hopes those who graduate or who are studying at this madrasah, become the pride of their parents, more than that, they are expected to become the next generation of scholars.
"Hopefully they will become the next generation of scholars, then our region will continue to have scholars from generation to generation," he pointed out.
The Governor advised the santri to continue to study, study, and study, and be obedient to both parents.
He also expressed appreciation to parents, who send their children to Islamic boarding school, including in this madrasah tahfizh.
"By sending them to school, means parents pass on knowledge to children. Inheritance of knowledge will be better than wealth. With the knowledge we will be able to achieve success in this world and in the hereafter," he said.
The Governor promised that the South Kalimantan government will pay attention and assist the development of Madrasah Darussalam for Tahfiz and Quran Sciences.
