As many as 500 state Islamic junior high school (MTsN) students from seventh, eighth, and ninth grade in South Hulu Sungai (HSS) got their first COVID vaccine shot.

HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry, when observing the activity in Amawang Kanan Village, Wednesday (Sept 29, 2021), said that vaccination for students is a strong capital to prepare face-to-face learning.

"Make sure that health protocols remain part of our daily life, and we grateful for the face-to-face learning to be implemented. It is a pity that our children have been for months have not had face-to-face learning," he said.

He hopes there will be no transmission of COVID-19 in schools. If there is, it will be evaluated as soon as possible. If someone is sick do not hesitate to contact the community health center (puskesmas).

Head master of MTsN 1 HSS Ratnawati said she was grateful that vaccination held at her school was very much supported by the HSS District Government.

"Hopefully the Regent can often visit our school, and give encouragement," she said.
