Banjarmasin Deputy Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Sabana Atmojo said 2,100 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were prepared for students for their safety in participating in face-to-face learning and to build herd immunity.
"We have prepared 2,100 doses of Sinovac vaccine for students. They are currently carrying out face-to-face learning in the city," Sabana said here on Thursday.
Sabana said that the city police had previously conducted data collection on schools to find out students who have not been vaccinated so that they come to mass vaccination agenda.
"Hopefully after getting the vaccine we can all be strong against the COVID-19 attack. Insya Allah Banjarmasin will be healthy and strong. Aamiin," said deputy police chief.
The vaccination agenda was also attended by the Head of Operation of the City Police, the sector police chiefs, and representatives of the university's Student Executive Body (BEM).
The vaccination agenda was held at the Sultan Suriansyah Building, North Banjarmasin, Thursday (Sept 23, 2021) by targeting students in the city. It was organized by South Kalimantan Police in collaboration with students, BEM, and community and youth organization (OKP).
One of the participants, Faisa Fadia (17), a grade 12 student at SMAN 8 Banjarmasin, said she was happy to participate in the vaccination.
"At first I was nervous, but Alhamdulillah after being vaccinated everything went smoothly," she said.
