Banjarbaru Mayor H M Aditya Mufti Ariffin planned to reopen face-to-face learning in October 2021, but with limited class and strict health protocols.
"We plan to resume face-to-face learning in schools in October by applying strict health protocols," said the Mayor after presiding a meeting to prepare the direct learning in Banjarbaru, Friday.
He pointed out that the learning process is carried out with condition that students have been vaccinated, the class is only a third of a maximum, and attendance is 2 days a week.
Learning each day is a maximum of four lessons or 160 minutes, the attendance of students to school is still determined by parents, and teachers must have been vaccinated.
"Evaluation and reports of face-to-face learning are every weeks, the role of UKS is maximized with the coordination of the nearest puskesmas (community health center), the completeness of health protocols can be budgeted from education operational assistance (BOP) or school operational assistance (BOS) according to provision," he explained.
Face-to-face learning, he said, is not carried out for all schools but gradually with a piloting system or school pilot that are ready both infrastructure and supporting facilities to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
The Banjarbaru government will reward school that implements strict health protocols during face-to-face learning and assures all infrastructures and facilities runs properly.
"On the contrary, there will be a punishment to school that slowdown in implementing health protocols, while facilities and infrastructures do not function. We hope pilot schools to prepare everything well," he said.
