Barito Kuala Regent Hj Noormiliyani AS received an award from MNC Portal Indonesia in the category of rural development in "Indonesia Visionary Leader" (IVL) Season 8 2021, Thursday (9/9) night.
The award ceremony with strict health protocols at the MNC Jakarta tower was attended by Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister (PAN-RB) Tjahjo Kumolo, MNC Group founder Hary Tanoesudibjo and 15 other regional heads who received the award.
"In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, all regional heads were tested for their tenacity in leading their region," said Tjahjo Kumolo in his keynote speech.
The Minister believed that the regional heads who received the award have the character of a visionary leader.
Visionary, according to Tjahjo, has farsightedness, dare to take risks, willing to listen, able to build relationships with various parties, able to think systematically and quick to makes decisions, always says why not for new ideas, always appreciates small roles, always have responsibility, must have high sensitivity.
"I hope the award given tonight can stimulate regional heads to be able to build their respective regions better," said the PDIP politician.
He advised regional heads to use their mandate to give inheritance to regional development later.
Regent Hj Noormiliyani AS, who was accompanied by Deputy Regent H Rahmadian Noor, received the appreciation of the Leader in Rural Development.

The award was obtained by the Regent after delivering vision and mission virtually to the juries on July 6.
"This is an honor and pride for me personally, my family, and the people of Barito Kuala," said Noormiliyani after receiving the awar.
