Kotabaru Regent H Sayed Jafar keeps promoting the district, whose nickname Bumi Saijaan, through tourism to the national level.
"Kotabaru has even included in the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy's Kharisma Event Nusantara (through) the 2021 Saijaan Cultural Festival (FBS) which was inaugurated by Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy H Sandiaga Uno virtually," said Sayed Jafar here, Sunday.
The event was held at the Gedambaan beach and the central government strongly supports the FBS held by Kotabaru.
Kalimantan, especially Kotabaru, has the various potential of tourism. "I am very familiar with the tourism potential in Kotabaru, the wealth of art and culture as well as the creativity of a very heterogeneous community," he said.
"We will continue to echo FBS, we will reverberate it in Kharisma Event Nusantara. We are very proud of the entry of FBS to the national level," he pointed out.
"This is extraordinary, especially in midst of the current pandemic situation and condition. Thank you ministry and all participants who have supported in advancing tourism in Kotabaru," he said.
The regional head of Kotabaru also hopes that Kotabaru is known to foreign countries for its beauty and global events.
