The Kotabaru DPRD's Commission 1 in charge of manpower appreciated palm plantation company Minamas Group for sharing profit bonuses to employees.

Secretary of Commission 1 Robi Robbiyansah said he was delighted and grateful to Minamas Group for distributing the bonus from the company's profit to about 5,436 employees with varying amounts.

"Some received 3 months salary at PT PSA, 2.5 months of wages at PT LMI, and 2 months of wages at PT SSA," he noted in a press release.

When it is added with Gunung Aru, which the amount of 3.5 months of salary, then almost 7 thousand employees received the blessing from the bonus.

The total bonus shared to employees is estimated at IDR50 billion, according to the district minimum wage of around IDR3 million plus in-kind allowance or employee rice.

"It's something to be proud of that in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, when people's purchasing power is down, while economic growth declines, (but) the company shares bonus," he pointed out.

"Hopefully with this bonus distribution, money circulation in Kotabaru will increase, thus it encouraging economic growth, and people's purchasing power will also increase. This will be a blessing for local residents and traders," he said.

He also hopes that the bonus can stimulate the productivity of all employees at every level, and Alif's cooking oil production can be well received by the market.
