Martapura, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Regent Banjar Sultan Khairul Saleh supports action against foreign nationals or WNA who work without a permit and documents in local districts.


"We support the action to foreigners who work without a permit and in violation of the rules," he said in Martapura, Monday, related to the arrests of five China workers, Saturday (14/3).

It was Manpower Minister Hanif Dakhiri who caught them in coal company Merge Mining Industry (MMI) in Sungai Pinang, Banjar District.

Despite the support, the regent requested that the problem is not exaggerated because it will affect the investment that grows in the area.

He explains, MMI prepared to be a firm in the pilot in Indonesia, because of its technical mining environmentally friendly and do not damage the top layer of soil.

"Investors who dare to invest only certain people so that the existence of the company should be supported because of growing regional economy," he said.

Chief of Immigration Oversight of Immigration Office Class I Banjarmasin Mulyadi said the five workers from China are still in his office at Jalan Ahmad Yani Km 21 Banjarbaru.

"They are still being held at the Immigration Office waiting the process of their return by the companies that employ them," he told reporters.
