Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 7/1 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Kalimantan Manpower and Transmigration Agency made a sudden inspection to PT Conch in Tabalong, but found no illegal foreign workers.
"A sudden inspection to a foreign company from China PT Conch did not find illegal foreign workers," said Head of South Kalimantan Manpower and Transmigration Agency (Disnakertrans) Antonius Simbolon in Banjarmasin, Saturday.
In the inspection to the cement factory in Tabalong at dawn Friday (6/1), Disnakertrans only found 122 foreign workers from China working at the company.
"But all foreign workers were accommodated formally, because they have the permission to employ foreign workers, IMTA foreign workers employment permit) and KITAS (foreigners limited stay permit)," said Antonius who is also acting head of Social and Public Welfare Agency.
Although in the sudden inspection found no illegal foreign workers, Antonius issued a strong warning to PT Conch South Kalimantan.
He said it would impose strict punishment to all companies that employ or accommodate illegal foreign workers in accordance with procedures and conditions of legislation.
"Firmly sanctions up to revocation of operating licenses. Therefore, monitoring of illegal foreign workers continues and is getting tight so as not to missed as last year," he said.
The plan is Disnakertrans together with Commission IV DPRD will again sweep or make sudden inspection to a number of companies in random, and did not rule out a joint team return to PT Conch that keep getting spotlight of people of this province.
The sudden inspection was on the instructions of the Governor of South Kalimantan H Sahbirin Noor in terms of supervision of foreign workers in companies in the province which consists of 13 districts and cities.
