The Tanah Bumbu Environment Agency (DLH) and Forest Management Unit (KPH) of Kusan planted trees simultaneously at the government office area of Gunung Tinggi.
"(We plant) 5,000 trees of various seedlings," said acting District Secretary of Tanah Bumbu H. Ambo Sakka in Batulicin, Wednesday.
Ambo Sakka, who was in the company of Head of Environment Agency Rahmat Prapto Udoyo, said that this is the participation of the district in the provincial Green Revolution drive, especially to rehabilitate critical land and river basin area (DAS) to prevent flood disaster.
"The Environment Agency and Forest Management Unit collaborate with the South Kalimantan Forestry Office in the planting action, which has become a national program to mitigate disaster," said Rahmat.

Dawan from KPH Kusan said that this is actually a yearly routine agenda of the Green Revolution. While the form of activity will adapt to the running program.
The 5,000 trees, he said, consisted of durian, bungur japun, and sengon.
"Our hope is this action will improve our environment in Tanah Bumbu," he said.
