The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) will hand over a stimulant fund to the flood-affected regions for the construction of permanent housing. Namely IDR50 million for a heavily damaged house, IDR25 million for a moderately damaged house, and IDR10 million for a lightly damaged house.
"To obtain the assistance, the regional government must prepare relocation land. BNPB only provides assistance from the side of permanent housing," said Head of the Central Hulu Sungai (HST) Housing and Settlement Ahmad Syafaat here on Tuesday (Feb 16, 2021).
He explained that the preliminary data from the recapitulation of Barabai that the number of heavily damaged houses was 538 units in total in Batu Benawa and Hantakan sub-districts, .
However, after being verified in the field by the BPBD team and Housing Agency, the temporary number of houses categorized as heavily damaged and missing was only 268 units. "The rest are in the category of moderate damaged or minor damaged," said Syafaat.
He said that for the category of moderate and light damage are still in the process of crosschecking the data.
If the data from the BPBD is submitted for the regent's decree, then it will be proposed to obtain the governor's decree and the data will be forwarded to the BNPB.
"After entering BNPB, there will be more verification, meaning that from district verification it will enter the central verification. Hopefully, in the near future we have certainty," he said.
Regarding the relocation, his party has consulted with the head of the sub-district and landowners. "Especially in Alat Village, the relocation target is in RT (neigborhood unit) 05, for the reason it geographical condition is in highland and when the following flood comes, insya Allah (God Willing) it is safe," said Syafaat.
