City Government seeks to eliminate slum area, in order to create a
beautiful, clean and healthy residential.
Head of Cipta Karya Agency Lisda Maimanah told reporters at City Hall Banjarmasin on Wednesday, the desire of freeing slum area of the city continue and targeted to be realized in 2019.
As evidence of the decline in the slums increasingly visible in several locations in the city. Now in 2014 only about seven percent of slum, while 10 percent in 2010.
She acknowledged the existence of slums is moving dynamically, and in line the percentage of urban development. Structuring the slum areas is not easy, but it needs perseverance and time, in addition to the availability of sufficient funds.
Normalization could be realized if there is local people support, without the support to the program do not expect it to be realized.
