The Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD) encourages the improvement of education, religious, and social sector as a counterweight to sophistication in the digital era.
The Spaker of the DPRD Syairi Mukhlis was speaking during the grounbreaking by the Regent of Kotabaru H Sayed Jafar to mark the beginning of the construction of Darul Ikhsan Cantung Islamic Boarding School in Sungai Kupang Village, Kelumpang Hulu Sub-district, Sunday.
"Education, religion, and social needs to be further improved in order to control social life in the current digital era," said Syairi.
The PDIP politician advised that pesantrean (Islamic boarding school) should be used as a medium for creating future generations who will build and advance the beloved Kotabaru.
As part of the regional government in implementing development in the district, the legislature remains committed to the progress and development of Bumi Saijaan (Kotabaru's nickname).
"We, next year, will legalize pesantren by ratifying regional regulation (perda) related to pesantren, so that lot of assistance can be provided legally," said Syairi.
Meanwhile, Regent H Sayed Jafar said on behalf of the government he laid the groundbreaking for the construction of Darul Ikhsan Islamic Boarding School on 80x100 meter land grant from residents in Sungai Kupang Village, Kelumpang Hulu Sub-district.
