The central government transfer funds still dominated the 2021 Kotabaru budget (APBD) with a value of IDR1.389 trillion more or 85.58 percent of the total local revenue.

Acting Regent of Kotabaru M Syarifuddin in his presentation before the legislative members in the plenary session on Monday explained that based on the joint discussion the total 2021 budget is IDR1.623 trillion more.

"In detail, the total revenue is IDR1.573 trillion more or 96.95 percent," said Syarifuddin.

The amount consists of locally generated revenue (PAD) of IDR129 billion which comes from taxes, levies, proceeds from the management of separated regional assets, and other legal PAD.

Furthermore, revenue from the central government transfer fund IDR1.389 trillion or 85.58 percent of the total local revenue.

From his explanation, it was known that the other legal local revenues were recorded at IDR54.855 billion, which came from grant income of IDR10 billion more, and other income in accordance with law and regulations which originated from grant income and BOS of IDR44 billion more.

From the figure of the 2021 budget has been approved, there was a reduction of IDR60 billion from the draft budget submitted by the acting regent in early November 2020 which was IDR1.683 trillion more.

speaker of DPRD Syairi Mukhlis acknowledged the reduction of revenue from the potential revenue sharing from oil and gas exploitation in Larilarian Island, Sebuku Block.

According to the PDIP politician, the council agreed to postpone the IDR60 billion revenue post from the Participation Interest (PI) in the draft budget.

"After we confirm and asked for information from the provincial government, it was known that the prospect of revenue from PI for oil and gas exploitation of Larilarian, Sebuku Block, is not yet clear," said Syairi.
