The District Government of Kotabaru supports the entry of investment, both in quantity and quality, including the oil and gas sector for national energy security.
"The government is very open to investment that enter Kotabaru, including in oil and gas sector for the national energy security," said Kotabaru Regional Secretary H Said Akhmad at the socialization ceremony for the drilling of exploration well of Yaqut 1 in the Sebuku Block by Mubadala Petroleum, Tuesday.
The former Secretary of Tanah Bumbu explained that the Yaqut well which is located near the Ruby field, which is already operating, will further increase job opportunity, thus it is hoped to contribute and be useful for Kotabaru.
"Hopefully, the drilling will run smoothly and successfully according to the expected target, then it has the potential in developing the district and to increase the locally derived revenue (PAD)," he said.
The socialization through video conference at the Grand Surya Hotel Ballroom on Tuesday was also attended by some officials from Forkopimda elements, heads of related agencies, the Kotabaru Fishermen Association, and the Saijaan.
