DPRD Kotabaru proposes the need to provide ambulances for each village to provide optimal service to the community, especially in the health sector.
Member of DPRD's Commission III Denny Hendro Kurnianto said a number of people's aspirations are now being fought for by the people's representatives, one of which is the provision of the ambulance.
"Regarding road and other faciities, such as electricity network to all village, it has been running, although some are still in process, all are targeted to be completed by 2021," said Denny, Saturday.
In addition, he said, the people of Kotabaru expect the availability of ambulances to support health service.
According to Denny, this is necessary considering the vast area of Kotabaru which makes its inter-areas relatively far away, either to reach community health services (puskesmas) or to the hospital in the district capital.
The PPP politician acknowledged that most villages have indeed received ambulance assistance, but there some that have not. For this reason, it is necessary to make maximum effort to obtain budget allocation, either from the provincial or central government.
"Alhamdulillah, in a joint working meeting with the provincial agency we got a signal of the opportunity to get a budget from the central government's Special Allocation Fund (DAK) in 2021," he said.
