Banjarbaru Ready to Close Three Localization

Banjarbaru, (Antaranews Kalsel) - Banjarbaru City Government prepares strategy to close three "lokalisasi" (localized brothels) that has been declared closed since 2001, but are still active until now. 

"The strategy was prepared and we seek to close the three lokalisasi in stages so that no more disgrace to Banjarbaru," said Mayor Ruzaidin Noor on Wednesday. 

He said the closure of the three places of vice, namely Pal 18, Pembatuan Dalam and Batu Besi is at the request of scholars (ulama) and community leaders in the city. 

Three lokalisasi was also disturbing the public as a center of crime and criminals, so many people asking for its closure. 

According to him, if the closing goes smoothly it is expected the area could be developed into a residential area in accordance to Banjarbaru City vision as a city of neighborhoods. 

"We hope, there are investors who buy the land and make the former area as settlement so that the area could once again shine bleak and equitable development can go," he said.
