The largest coal mining in South Kalimantan Province, Adaro Group, continues to provide suppport of health facilities for the handling of coronaVirus patients both in its operational area and surrounding districts.

Last Thursday (July 23, 2020), the Adaro Group handed over COVENT-20 ventilators to the H Hasan Basry Public Hospital in Kandangan, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), which is outside of the operational area of the PKP2B mining contract holder.

The multimode ventilator COVENT-20 was produced by a joint team of the University of Indonesia’s School of Medicine and School of Engineering in collaboration with PT Adaro Energy.  

This type of breathing device was also provided for other hospitals in Banua Enam (the six districts in the upstream area of South Kalimantan), also for Tanah Bumbu Hospital in Batulicin and Bhayangkara Hospital in Banjarmasin.

"The assistance of this device is certainly very much needed for the handling of COVID-19 patients, especially in our hospital as a referral for corona patients," said Taufik Rahman, the Kandangan Hospital management representative.

In addition to providing the device, Adaro also provides training in the use of the COVENT-20 ventilator.

"Technical guidance for the use and maintenance of the machine will certainly facilitate us to operate it properly, so we can utilize it more optimally," said Taufik.
