Adaro Group provided two pneumatic system-based local transport ventilators (COVENT-20) to the Central Hulu Sungai (HST) District's H Damanhuri Hospital in Barabai.

PT Adaro Indonesia's CRM Muhammad Shaleh, accompanied by Sam Guntur from Adaro Foundation, handed over the assistance directly to the director of the hospital Muhammad Asnal and Head of Medical Services Dessy Zuanita Lestari.

Shaleh said the assistance was a commitment of Adaro Grup in helping the government to deal with COVID-19 in Indonesia.

“We are trying our best to help the government deal with this pandemic," Shaleh said.

Although HST is not an operational area of PT Adaro, Saleh hoped that this ventilator can help the hospital team in handling COVID-19 patients in 'Bumi Murakata' (nickname of the district).

“Hopefully the assistance we provided be utilized and support the handling of corona in this region,” Saleh added.

Director of the hospital expressed gratitude for the assistance from Adaro Group as an effort to accelerate the handling of COVID-19 patients.

“I am on behalf of the hospital director thank the Adaro Group for the contribution of this COVENT-20," Asnal said.

The ventilators will be utilized in the ICU room that the hospital planned to open specifically for COVID-19 patients.

“With this device COVID-19 treatment in the hospital will be more optimal," he explained.
