Head of the South Sungai Selatan (HSS) Health Office doctor Siti Zainab, who also the spokesperson of COVID-19 Task Force, announced three community health centers (puskesmas) in the district were closed or will be closed.

She said, the closing of the facilities was temporary because one of its health workers was confirmed positive. Sterilization, tracking, and tracing are carried out during the closure in an effort to prevent and handling of COVID-19.

"The temporary closure of service is done to the Kandangan Puskesmas, because one health worker confirmed positive and will be followed by Sungai Raya Puskesmas, and Wasah Puskesmas in Simpur Sub-district," she said, Monday (July 13, 2020).

The Kandangan Puskesmas is closed from Sunday (July 12) to Tuesday (July 14) and will reopen on Wednesday (July 15). While Sungai Raya Puskesmas and Wasah to be closed from Tuesday to Thursday (July 16) and to reopen Friday (July 17).

The closure was carried out in accordance with the health protocol at the workplace, due to one of each puskesmas health worker confirmed positive.

It refers to the Decree of Home Affairs Minister Number 440-830 in 2020, regarding the guidelines of the new normal productive and safe from COVID-19 for State civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Ministry of Home Affairs and local government.

According to the protocol governed by the decree, if a positive case of COVID-19 found at the workplace to be immediately closed. Then immediately contact the local government to carry out Sterilization, tracking and further testing.

"Contact identification should be made, namely to people who have interaction history with the patient within a radius of one meter in accordance with the guidance of COVID-19 prevention and handling," she said.
