Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Banjarbaru City Government donated dozens of houses built on the bank of River Kemuning to the fire victims.


Banjarbaru Mayor Ruzaidin Noor here on Tuesday said the government had handed over the land deeds that grant home built to the citizens who inhabit the house.

"There were 29 housing units built after the fire some time ago and has been inhabited by original owner and has been granted wholly officially, so now owned by local residents," he said.

He said the city government in order to protect people's lives, including protection from natural disasters, such as fires, provide housing for people who are victims of the disaster.

One of protection is building dozens of homes on Kemuning River bank through facilitation and stimulation of homes rehabilitation due to natural disasters.

"Houses built by local government type coupling 40/40 and its location on the banks of the river but did not violate river border and arranged so that free of flood," he said./e
