Banjarmasin , South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - Fruit gardens belong to Banjarbaru Seed Food Crops and Horticulture Center (BBTPH) is potentially an agrotourism.


Head of Banjarbaru BBTPH Yuliana Adriana to Antaranews Kalsel on Thursday said the agro-tourism potential gardens have various types or species of tree durian and rambutan.

"Orchards in Sungkai (75 km north of Banjarmasin) Banjar District, has several times bear fruit, but the fruit not to be sold or commercialized," she gave an example.

BBTPH who's headquarters in Guntung Payung (30 km north of Banjarmasin) has several seeds development centers of various crops and horticulture.

For example, around the office, BBTPH developed ornamental plants, among other diverse types of orchids and other flowers.

In Sungai Raya, South Hulu Sungai District (HSS), approximately 130 km north of Banjarmasin, it specifically develops certified rice seeds.

"It is our duty and function to the development and provision of seeds of various crops and horticulture, and people can buy them for planting purposes," said Yuliana.
