Vice Regent of Barito Kuala (Batola) H Rahmadian Noor said, to be effective in handling COVID-19, ideally, each district and city has one PCR car.
According to him, the problem often experienced by districts and cities in the mitigation of COVID-19, related to the PCR facility.
Regarding the assistance of two units of PCR cars from the central government to the provincial government of South Kalimantan, vice regent who is familiarly called Rahmadi said, the facility was very useful to find out whether someone was positive for COVID-19.

“The assistance of the PCR car automatically accelerates the process of examining sample to longer need 10 to 15 days per person (to know the result),” he said, Sunday (7/6).
During this time, he said, PCR equipment was only owned by the provincial government, as a result the samples of patients to be examined piled up and took a long time.
While the districts and cities continue to carry out mass-rapid test, as a result people whose rapid tested reactive were crowded in quarantine.
“I worry about the long waiting of swab test result, the quarantines provided by each district and city always full and forced to contiuously have to add,” he said.

He said, Batola itself has provided three quarantine locations plus one from the province in Ambulung.
To avoid continuing accumulation of patients with ODP and OTG status, he viewed that the central government ought to think about providing PCR facility for districts and citie, especially for regions with high spreading of the disease.
