"Tiga Roda" cement producer PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Plant Tarjun distributed personal protective equipment (PPE) to two community health centers (puskesmas) in Kotabaru District as a form of involvement in the fight against new coronavirus (COVID-19) in the region.
PT ITP Tarjun CSR Head Imansyah in his written statement on Sunday noted, the distribution of aid was a continuation of the company's support to the local team in the handling of COVID-19 in a number of sub-districts and area, including the sub-districts of Kelumpang Hilir and Kelumpang Hulu, Kotabaru.
"In addition to PPE, management also handed over 10 liters hand sanitizer, a pack of latex gloves, 50 pieces cloth masks, 14 pieces of hazmat,” he said.
According to him, in the current condition, it is necessary to synergize all elements of society with the government in order to break the chain of the spread of coronavirus.
The spread of the virus, he said, can be minimized if all disciplines adhere to health protocol.
He hopes that the COVID-19 pandemic will soon pass until people can return to normal lives.

Head of Kelumpang Hulu Community Health Center Muhammad Yamin said the PPE assistance provided by PT ITP Plant Tarjun was useful for officers in serving the community to break the chain of COVID-19, while minimizing the transmission of the virus between patients and health workers.
“We really need PPE at present to improve health service to the community, especially in the current pandemic situation. We are grateful for our letter to the PT ITP was responded very well,” he said.
Head of Kelumpang Hilir Subdistrict Johanuddin appreciated the company's care about the pandemic situation by providing assistance to improve services.
“Thank you PT ITP Tarjun for continuing to care about the current situation, and certainly very useful for the community and the medical team in charge,” he said.
