To help to accelerate the handling of COVID-19 global pandemic in Balangan, South Kalimantan, PT Adaro Indonesia again provided important assistance in the form of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and one ambulance.
PT Adaro Indonesia CRM Department Head Djoko Soesilo handed over the assistance to Balangan Regent H Ansharuddin, who is chief of the Task Force for COVID-19 Mitigation in the district, Monday (May 4, 2020).
"62 PPE sets consist of gloves, goggles, N95 mask, coveralls, jumpsuits, and boots. In addition 3.700 pieces of masks. Hopefully, this assistance will help the COVID-19 handling in Balangan," he said.
And as a form of the company's concern in the mitigation of the contagious disease, PT Adaro also provided one unit of ambulance specifically designed for handling COVID-19 patients.
"We hope these PPE, masks, and ambulance could help the Balangan District Government in COVID-19 mitigation. Besides, it is also as moral support in accelerating the handling of the pandemic," Djoko said.
Balangan Regent expressed his gratitude and stated that the Balangan government felt helped by the care of the PT Adaro Indonesia.
"We are the Balangan District Government would like to thank the leadership of PT Adaro who has provided the assistance in the framework of handling and preventing COVID-19 in Balangan," Ansharuddin remarked.

The PPEs, masks, and the ambulance will be distributed to the Health Office, then distributed to a number of community health centers (puskesmas), especially for medical personnel who handle COVID-19.
"The donated masks are special and best masks that are used for health workers," Ansharuddin explained.
The activity was attended by Balangan Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Nur Khamid and Chief of Prosecutors Office Khaidir.
