Regent of Tanah Bumbu H. Sudian Noor distributed food aid or kitchen needs to residents affected by the new Coronavirus disease or COVID-19.

"About 2.500 package of basic food we distribute to people in need," he said in Batulicin, Friday (April 17, 2020).

He said the basic food was assistance from coal company PT Jhonlin Grup through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. It was proof of the serious attention of the company and the local government toward disadvantaged people, especially those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To handle the COVID-19 outbreak, previously the local government also prepared funds of about IDR3 billion from an unexpected budget.

"We appeal to the public to increase their vigilance by activating pos kamling (neighborhood security posts) for surveillance of residents who have just come from areas affected by COVID-19," he concluded.
