The city government of Banjarmasin has prepared a place of quarantine for People Under Monitoring (ODP) at the housing Bumi Indah Lestari Complex on Jalan Perdagangan, North Banjarmasin.
The place chosen to quarantine people coming from the red zone area is the South Kalimantan Hall of Information Technology and Education Communication (BTIKP).
Banjarmasin Mayor H Ibnu Sina and Deputy Mayor H Hermansyah together with the elements of Local Consultative Forum (Muspida) had visited the location on Tuesday (April 14),
The mayor said on Wednesday that the place was at the suggestion of the Governor of South Kalimantan.
"We are also grateful that local residents do not object to this plan," he said.
But, he pointed out, that it is only temporary they allowed the housing road to be used to for ODP transportation.
"They asked the city government to immediately make a special road for the car to ODP quarantine," he said.

Ibnu Sina assured, their request was immediately followed up by ordering the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR) to check a location would be used as an access road to and from the ODP quarantine place.
"The alternative is through the Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), we have ordered PUPR to check this location," said Ibnu Sina.

He pointed out that the use of the hall as an ODP quarantine cannot be delayed, because at this time many people have started coming from the red zone.
"They are not strangers, but our children, all are our own residents, who study at the Islamic boarding schools, now they are on vacation," Ibnu Sina said.
He hoped that community together with the government would be united to break the chain of the spread of the coronavirus because the positive cases in Banjarmasin have touched 17 people, three people had died, and one recovered, 13 people still being treated.
