The city Government of Banjarmasin appealed to all state civil apparatus (ASN) to set aside a minimum of 2,5 percent of their monthly performance allowance (popularly known as tukin) for the ASN Care for COVID-19 program.

Banjarmasin Mayor H Ibnu Sina in a press conference at the City Hall on Monday (April 13, 2020) stated, the case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the city continues to increase, even though the task force for handling acceleration has made very maximum efforts.

As a form of concern, all ASN within the city government are following the ASN care for COVID-19 in accordance to circular No. 847/616-2020.

"The ASN Care is raising funds from all ASN, which is 2,5 percent of their monthly performance allowances," he said.

The fundraising began in April until the closing of the COVID-19 emergency response period in the city.

He believes all ASN will be willing to share, because the fund will be distributed socially to residents affected by the economy due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

"It is lucky that ASN is currently paid, even get allowance, while many residents do not have income anymore. That is why we should share," he said.
