The COVID-19 Mitigation Task Force has again announced a rising in positive cases figure in South Kalimantan, and until Wednesday morning (April 15, 2020) it has touched 38 from previously 37 on Tuesday.

On the same day, the toll of the death victims added by one to became six.

But then in the afternoon, the task force announced the number of COVID-19 positive patients has increased again by 11 to become 49.

"Of the 49 positive confirmed cases, 24 are being treated in several hospitals and 13 are isolated," said the spokesman of the South Kalimantan Task Force for COVID-19 Acceleration Handling HM Muslim in Banjarbaru.

From the total 49 positive figures, five patients were declared recovered, and seven people died.

According to Muslim, the 11 addition of positive cases consisted of six people detected, two people died, three others were Patient Under Surveillance (PDP) whose status increased to be positive.

Meanwhile, seven other PDP, who were close contacts with positive patients, was confirmed from the Gowa cluster, South Sulawesi.

At present, 15 positive patients are being treated at the Ulin Regional Hospital in Banjarmasin, four in Ansari Saleh Hospital Banjarmasin, two in Abdul Aziz District Hospital of Barito Kuala, and three people in the Boejasin Hospital in Pelaihari, Tanah Laut.
