The District Government of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) supports and participates in spearheading the chili planting movement, which was promoted by the Provincial Government of South Kalimantan through the Forestry Agency.

Head of the HSS Forest Management Unit (KPH) Rudiono Herlambang in Kandangan on Monday (April 13, 2020) said, HSS has completed the preparation for the distribution of 9.190 chili seedlings a total of 4.595 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the district.

"In accordance with the Governor H Sahbirin Noor's circular, the distribution of chili seedling for ASN is a joint effort in spearheading the chili planting movement in South Kalimantan," he said.

By involving ASN, the program is expected to be able to mobilize and create a positive resonance or motivation in intensifying the chili planting movement for all communities in South Kalimantan, especially in HSS District.

The movement is an effort to anticipate inflation caused by the unstable of chili production in the province, as happened in 2019 when inflation occurred five times.

HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry symbolically accepted chili seedling from the head of KPH. The seedlings then handed over to Agriculture Agency to be distributed to all ASN in HSS.
