"Overall the basic food supply in our area is safe. Only (we really in) a shortage of sugar and garlic. But there is quite encouraging information, this Monday there will be a supply of 500 tons of sugar," he remarked after a meeting with the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) at city Hall, Friday (March 20, 2020).

Ibnu Sina then said other stocks, including rice, cooking oil, chicken and beef, fuel, and LPG were confirmed safe.

He pointed out that the condition of basic food and other necessities is very important now to be ascertained, related to the current state of the country fighting the coronavirus of COVID-19.

In such a situation, he hoped there will be no hoarding or groceries to make it scarce and price to be expensive.

"People are expected not to buy it on a large scale for stock. There is no need to be panic with the current situation, because all are fulfilled until Ramadhan," he explained.
