HSU Need Information Center For Handicraft Promotion

Amuntai, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - North Hulu Sungai (HSU) need information center to promote various types of its handicraft globally.

Board of Trustees of HSU Informatics Funding Provision Management Agency (BP3TI) Hari Utama Ribowo here on Sunday said the area has considerable craft centers, but not yet supported by the existence of global centers such as Internet Information Services.

In fact, since 2009 the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Kemenkominfo) through BP3TI has been providing cheap, healthy and safe internet access services. 

The services are designed for small and medium-sized industries by holding Subdistrict Internet Service Provider 

(PLIK) for Productive Sentra.

"In South Kalimantan we've allocated 40 of this type of service (PLIK), but no yet in HSU district," said Hari as an 

informant on the Socialization and Publications of KPU/USO Program at the Gedung Agung in Amuntai.

Among the programs are Desa Berdering (Ringing Villages) for land line communication, Desa Pintar (Smart Villages) to provide internet access to disadvantaged villages and the setting up of a WiFi network under a program called WiFi Kabupaten (WiFi in Regencies),  PLIK, Mobile PLIK, PLIK productive Center, Wifi and BTS Border. This program recognized still in the stage of completion and continue to be added each year so many shortcomings and problems encountered in the field.

 

Hari suggest PLIK in the capital district can be used as PLIK for productive center.

Head of Communications and Information Technology at the HSU Transportation and Communications and IT 

Agency Syahbudiannoor said for the swampy and isolated areas inHSU such as Paminggir subdistrict, which does not have access to a landline service requires internet boats more than internet car.

"The existing internet Ships is only one unit in Banjarmasin and the only one who got this aid boat in South Kalimantan but has not granted yet from the center," Syahbudianoor told in between socialization.

He also suggested that the district Wifi equipment at HSU to be installed in the very end sub- district (Paminggir) area, which is the result of the division, that should be prioritized.
