Chairwoman of the HSU chapter of the National Handicraft Council (Dekranasda HSU) Anisyah Raudah in Amuntai to Chief of South Kalimantan Bureau of Antaranews Agency Nurul Aulia Badar and his wife who made a trip to HSU, Monday (Jan 20, 2020), said, foodstuff or food souvenirs made from lotus --which local people named it kambang tanding -- have many in variety.
We can find wadai (cake) walatih, wadai cincin teratai (lotus), brownies, or people make lotus flour to be processed into various snacks, such as kukis talipuk, she said showing two examples of packaged cakes made from talipuk.

While it flower stalks, enjoyed as savory vegetable, such as gangan balamak or coconut milk soup with pumpkin and snakehead fish or papuyu (climbing perch), very delicious, said Anisyah Raudah, who also chair Tim Penggerak PKK (Family Welfare Movement.
