The city-owned water company PDAM Bandarmasih will drain the water from its water processing plant, and as a result water distribution to customers is stopped for 15 hours.


Public Relation of the company Abdul Wahid here on Friday (Jan 10, 2020) said, the drainage of water storage in the water treatment plant on Jalan Pramuka, East Banjarmasin, is to be done on Tuesday(Jan 14, 2020).

"We will stop the pump since 9.00 a.m. till 10.00 p.m. or about 15 hours," he declared.

He acknowledged that the drainage of the reservoir with a capacity of 20.000 cubic meter will affected many areas, especially all customers in the South Banjarmasin dan East Banjarmasin.

"Some areas in North Banjarmasin served by Banua Anyar booster will also be affected," he said.

PDAM Bandarmasih, he continued, is forced to drain the water processing plant to clean it from a high enough deposited mud. "Because of the changes in water quality are quite often, often murky, thus we need to do repairment," he explained.

PDAM, said Abdul Wahid, expressed apologies to customers for the inconveniences.

"We hope customers affected by the cessation of water distribution on Tuesday (Jan 14, 2020) to prepare water storage," he appealed.

"To residents who need water tank please call PDAM Bandarmasih," he concluded.
