Cement producer PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk has maintained the Company Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management (PROPER) Hijau award from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (LHK) of the Republic of Indonesia.


President Director of Indocement Christian Kartawijaya noted in a press-release, Friday (Jan 10, 2020) that it was a prove that the company has been able to maintain the Green (Hijau) rating for the Cirebon factory, as well as Blue (Biru) rating for the Citeureup Factory in Bogor and Tarjun Factory in Kotabaru, South Kalimantan.

At the end of 2019, he remarked, Indocement has also proven its sustainable green efforts by successfully gaining the Green Industry Standard certification No.SIH 23941.1:2018 from the Ministry of Industry for the three factory complexes.

"This means that all the Indocement's factory complexes meet the Green Industry Standards for Portland cement industry," he pointed out.

These two appreciations from the government were concrete evidence of Indocement's efforts to prioritize environment management system and environmental permits, energy efficiency, water conservation, emission reduction, biodiversty protection, B3 (toxic and hazardous) and non-B3 waste control.

The company community empowerment implemented to bring benefits to partner community through various measurable CSR initiatives and active participation in national industry vocational programs.

As one of the largest cement industry in Indonesia, Indocement and its subsidiaries are engaged in several business, which include manufacturing and selling cement (as core business), ready mix-concrete, as well as aggregate and trass mines, with a total number of employees of nearly 6,000 people.

Indocement has 13 factories with a total annual production capacity of 24,9 million tons of cement.
