Tiga Roda cement producer, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (ITP) Tarjun Plant seeks to maintain environmental sustainability by planting 600 tree seedlings around the company's area.
Environment Section of PT ITP Plant Tarjun Eva Ariani, Wednesday, said the activity of planting 600 tree seedlings was carried out in commemoration of Earth Day.
"The tree seeds consist of mahogany trees, trembesi and angsana trees," Eva Ariani said through a press release.
She revealed, the trees planted were mahogany, trembesi, and angsana as many as 600 seedlings at the location of the sleeping land, as an effort to revegetate coastal areas.
This reforestation activity cooperates with the South Kalimantan Forest Agency to supply the seeds, " he continued
The Environment Section worked in synergy with programs run by the company, synergizes with nature, greening all areas of the factory as wind breakers and in the future is expected to become a forest of research, she explained.

Meanwhile, General Manager of PT ITP Plant Tarjun Katon Primanto said, the target to be achieved in commemoration of Earth Day this year is the company showed commitment in protecting the environment and natural resources, thus Indocement participated in creating a green and quality environment.
Furthermore, the company carries out activities in sustainable development programs, including the Langadai mangrove tourism, Tarjun Village retention basin, forest conservation and nursery in the company's mining area, she explained.
