Members of Commission III of the Balangan Legislative Council (DPRD) are now fighting for repairment of several bridges, which are categorized emergency, in Juai Sub-district, to be repaired or renovated.
Lead by Erly Satriani, the Commission III members, including H Usman, Ahmad Yani, Samsudinnor, Agus Reyanto and Hanil Tamzid, visited the location together with partners from the local Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Agency.
"This bridge is very old, and has never been touched by repairs. While in anticipation of casualties, residents covered the bridge holes with coconut tree trunks and chains as a binder," he said.
In addition to Mihu bridge, Erly said, two other bridge in Lalayau Village have similar condition, but are not yet included in the upcoming 2020 budget (APBD).
"We have already asked the head of PUPR. He said they are not included in the 2020 budget. We will make our effort to repairment of bridges which are in the category of emergency," he pointed out.
"Hopefully it will be quickly realized, because these birges are intervilages access, as well as education and economic roads for residents," he concluded.
