The District Government of Balangan is making an effort to develop its potential by applying appropriate technology through posyantek.
Posyantek is an appropriate technology service post at the sub-district level whose function is to provide technical services, information, promotion and orientation on appropriate technology (TTG).
Regent of Balangan H Ansharuddin said a lot of economic potentials in every village in the district, such as natural resources, agriculture, plantation, river flow, and so on, must be digged up and developed optimally.
"There are actually a lot of economic potential in every village, but have not been digged up and developed optimally," he pointed out.

While, there are other potentials have been built up, such as markets, fields, village owned company, karang taruna (youth group), Including, he said, what we do, such as customs, and daily activities.
"What we need to develop our economic potentials is ideas, and appropriate technology," he emphasized.
Ideas, he continued, is always important. There will be no action if there is no idea. While appropriate technology is the one that suits the community needs, not must be expensive, complicated, or shopisticated.
"The next question is how people find knowledge, develop and apply the appropriate technology? Here we have to know about posyantek, to support it in order it service would be optimal," he explained.
The regent was speaking after the socialization of the using of appropriate technology and the development of posyantek in the district in 2019, last Thursday (5/9).
