The Regent of Kotabaru H Sayed Jafar witnessed directly as the residents of Sungai Bahim Village declared to maintain their environment and the culture of healthy life by not to open deffecation, Wednesday (Nov 20, 2019).

The signing of the declaration by the village administration and residents of Sungai Bahim Village also witnessed by a number of heads of government agencies, head of PUlau Laut Selatan Sub-district, members of the sub-district leaders coordination forum, chief of village, religion and public figures, and invitations.

The regent made a visit to Tanjung Serudung Village and Sungai Bahim Village for the purpose of silaturahmi (good relation/friendly meeting) and to deliver some assistance to his people, namely 35 energy saving lamps and 73 Indonesia Healthy Cards.

In his message, the regent advised the residents to make a good use of the assistance and to maintain them as well as possible.

He instructed village heads to record underprivileged residents who cannot afford to have electricity, so the government will help them for the installation.

Chief of Sungai Bahim Village Asluddin thanked the Regent of Kotabaru and entourage for their visit and delivering assistance directly to the villagers.

"Thank you for the assistance given to us," he said.
