As many as 4.200 runners enlivened the Arutmin 10K 2019 running race held in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, Sunday (Nov 17) morning.

"We are so pleased the enthusiasm of the participants was very high this year, not even from South Kalimantan, and Kalimantan Island, but some runners from Java, Sumatra, till Sulawesi," Chief Executive Officer of PT Arutmin Indonesia Ido Hotna Hutabarat said in his remarks.

Ido said, the 10 kilometer running race, which have been held 9 times since 2005, was to celebrate the anniversary of PT Arutmin Indonesia on November 2, 2019 as it is 38 year old.

South Kalimantan Provincial Government Assistant I for Administration Siswansyah appreciated Arutmin to remain committed holding the running race each year, while the number of participants kept increasing.

"Sport has become the flagship program of South Kalimantan Provincial Government, so we can work together to make  a larger number of sport events like this," Siswansyah, who represented theGovernor H Sahbirin Noor, remarked.

The running race, which start and finish held the office area of the Provincial Government on Jalan Trikora Banjarbaru, divided into five categories, namely men general category 2.522 participants, women general category 514, male student category 858, female student category 180, and master category (age over 50) 119 participants.

In addition to prizes for champions in each categgory, the committee also distributed dozens of door prizes, such as five motorcycles, mountain bikes, and other entertainment prizes.
