Although slightly down, South Kalimantan export still posted a surplus by US$461,24 million in September or smaller than US$481,21 million in August.  

"South Kalimantan trade balance remained to show a positive value, thus the export-import in September experienced a surplus," Head of South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Diah Utami said in Banjarbaru, Friday (Nov 1, 2019).

The total value of export through ports in the province in September, she said, was US $549,47 million or down by 5,29 percent compared to US$580,18 in August.

"The mostly export commodity in September 2019 was mineral fuel group 90.81 percent, followed by fat goods group 5.81 percent and various chemical product groups 1.80 percent," she said.

The main export destination is China with a value of US$153.41 million, then India US$117.71 million and Philippines US$53.33 million.

While the import went down 10,85 percent from the previous value of US$ 98,97 million to US$88,23 million or down by 9,13 percent compared to September 2018.

The main commodity of import was mineral fuel group with a value of US$71,14 million, then mechanical/aircraft engines group US$14.49 million, and fertilizer groups US$1.04 million.

"The main import supplier country is Singapore with a value of US$70.36 million, South Korea US$14.29 million, and Germany with an import value of US$1.46 million," she said.
